At River Park Animal Clinic, founded by Dr. Jian Luo and her twin sister, Lucy Luo, we are dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care for your beloved pets in Sugarland. Our clinic is a true labor of love, rooted in a lifelong passion for animal welfare that began in our childhood home in China, filled with furry friends. Fond memories of tending to our cats, dogs, turtles and birds together sparked our passion to open a vet clinic to provide high quality veterinary care and strengthen the human animal bond.
Meet Dr. Jian Luo: Your Compassionate Veterinarian
Dr. Jian Luo’s journey to becoming a veterinarian started at the young age of five. With limited resources in China for veterinary education, she made the bold move to the United States at 19 to pursue a degree in Animal Science. Dr. Luo dedicated her summers to gaining hands-on experience in research labs, animal shelters, vet clinics, zoos, and wildlife conservations. She was accepted into six veterinary schools and proudly graduated with her D.V.M. from Purdue University in 2015. Her greatest joy as a veterinarian comes from helping pets thrive and live long, healthy lives.
Lucy Luo: Driving Change in Animal Health
Meanwhile, Lucy pursued a career in finance but couldn’t shake her longing to make a difference in the animal health industry. Leaving behind a lucrative position, she pursued an MBA at Tulane University and later served for eight years as a finance and data analytics director for a large veterinary group.
